Misty Mountain Cottage - Warburton
Misty Mountain Cottage is part of a 13 acre property, on a hill overlooking Warburton township opposite Mt Donna Buang and Mount Victoria.
Snow can sometimes be seen from the cottage during winter, or a 10-15 minute drive will take you for a closer look.
Warburton is a place of great natural beauty, a great place to relax and recharge the batteries.
Although we are only 1 km from the centre of town, and the Yarra river, and the Warburton-Lilydale bike trail, when you reach the top of our hill, you will think you in another world !
(Please note: Long, fairly steep gravel driveway, safe for ALL standard vehicles)
The property is mostly natural bushland, which we are trying to protect and regenerate, to provide a small home for our rapidly diminishing native wildlife.
We have a focus on sustainability, and the property features : Tank Water, Sewerage treatment plant, Fruit trees, Vegetable garden, Chickens (for eggs), Native gardens, Two dams.
We ask guests to Please drive carefully on your way to and from the cottage, especially when it is dark, as wombats, wallabies and echidnas may wander on to the driveway.
Many native animals live on the property, which you may see while you are here, some of the animals and birds seen on the property recently include:
Common Wombat Koala
